Salary advances

Salary advances that repay themselves

Replace the advance notebook. Every advance carries its own repayment plan, and payroll deducts what is due — so nobody has to remember, and nobody is surprised.

How is an advance repaid?

Choose per advance: in full at the next payroll, or in equal monthly instalments starting from a month you pick. The last instalment absorbs any remainder, so the total always matches.

If the worker pays some back in cash, record a cash repayment and the outstanding balance drops straight away.

Can workers ask for an advance?

Yes, from the worker app. The request goes to their reporting manager, and an admin can always decide. Workers see their outstanding balance and the next deduction.

Can I limit how much is advanced?

Set caps on the total outstanding per worker, as an amount, as a percentage of their monthly salary, or both. Managers can approve or issue advances only up to a limit you set — by default they cannot issue any.

What happens at payroll?

Each run deducts the instalments due that month. Locking the run records them as repayments; unlocking reverses them. Clockroll never charges interest on advances.
